Traction Motor Remanufacturing

Complete remanufacturing of DC and AC traction motors to OEM specifications. Covers EMD® D77, D78, D87, D90, D100, and GE® 752/761 platforms. Services include armature rewind, commutator replacement, field coil renewal, brush rigging overhaul, and bearing replacement. All motors are high-potential (HiPot) tested and load tested prior to return to service.

Generator Remanufacturing

Generator Remanufacturing

Remanufacturing of auxiliary generators (10–24 KW) and main/companion generators for EMD® and GE® locomotive platforms. The remanufacturing process covers armature assembly, stator replacement, drive assembly rebuild, and frame reconditioning. All units are load-bank tested prior to shipment.

New Parts Manufacturing

Supco Canada manufactures a wide range of new locomotive components to OEM-equivalent specifications. Manufacturing capabilities include precision machining, winding, heat treatment, and assembly. For obsolete or discontinued OEM parts, Supco Canada can reverse-engineer and manufacture replacements from original drawings or sample parts.

Our Remanufacturing Process

Receipt & Inspection

Incoming parts are catalogued, inspected, and assessed against OEM specifications.

Disassembly & Cleaning

Complete disassembly, ultrasonic or solvent cleaning, and component condition assessment.

Repair & Rewind

Failed components are repaired or replaced. Windings are rewound using premium magnet wire.

Assembly & Testing

Final assembly to OEM tolerances. HiPot, resistance, and load testing per specification.

05

Quality Release

Certified inspection records generated. Component released with ISO 9001:2015 quality documentation.
